Groovi Parchment

Good Morning All
I was tempted to make this card by looking at Barbara Gray's Challenge Blog.  My sister bought me a couple of Groovi plates for my Birthday and I was searching the blog for techniques and came up with this.  It is my second attempt at Groovi and I love it - so relaxing.   The Challenge I am entering it for is Circles and Squares    I hope this qualifies for the challenge.

On this card I have used a 7x7 Craft Card, I embossed that with the Creative Expressions Falling Snow Embossing folder. I then used some Red card stock from my stash and used the Creative Expressions Double pierced squares,  I mounted the Groovi parchment onto a dark Green piece of Card and then framed it with black card again using the Double pierced squares.  I gently coloured the Groovi parchment with ordinary crayons (not very well i might add).  The outside frame is another Embossing folder directly onto the Groovi parchment to frame it (xcut 6x6 embossing folder).  I will be playing with this technique a lot more .

Thank you for passing by and looking.

Brown and Teal

Challenge Card for Indigo Blu
I made this card for the challenge as I just love these colours, I will add a sentiment at a later date.

I have used Indigo Blu Poppycock Stamps for this card, I just love the versatility of this set.
Colours used are Tim Holtz Distress Ink ( rusty hinge) - Tim Holtz Distress Ink (evergreen bough).
I am entering this card to the Indigo Blu Brown and teal challenge.

I enjoyed making this card but got into a bit of a mess so that is my next job (clearing my working space).

Thank you for passing by my blog.

Birthday card for my Sister

I made this card for my Sisters Birthday. I am trying to  keep my blog updated but so far not making a very good job of it :-/
I have a few Cards in my box that need photographing so really must get myself into gear and get on with it.  I still make loads of cards but just don't seem to get the time to photograph and do my blog, where does all the time go for goodness sake - I'm retired.  I actually achieved more when i was bringing up a family and working..!!!  Anyway I will get to photograph my makes (I hope as i bought a nice new camera to do it).

I used my Minc machine to Foil al the sentiments on this card and the Cut out on the top is a tattered lace die which I love.

Thank you for passing by and looking and I will try to update my blog much much more.

Gift tag

Good morning all, well it's another grey day here in Ireland and it has been blowing a gale all-night.  I was playing with Claire's stash again yesterday and came up with this tag, I'm trying to use more stamps and techniques and getting a few tips from Claire as that is her favourite technique, she has some fabulous stamps and inks to work with.

I am entering this tag into the Through the Craftroom Door Anything Goes Challenge

Thank you for passing by and checking out my blog.

Indigo Blu card

Good morning all, I have made this card for the  IndigoBlu Blog Challenge Anything goes  .  I am staying with my daughter in Ireland and have used some of her stash.  I will be here for a few more weeks so I am sure I will be able to play with her lovely goodies a few more times.

I chose this beautiful Indigoblu Stamp from the poppycock stamp set, I stamped it twice and decoupaged it then i distressed the petals and leaves.  I coloured the flower with Tim Holtz distress ink, Victoria velvet.  The leaves are from the Live Laugh and Love stamp set coloured again with Tim Holtz distress ink, bundled sage.
For the background I have used IndigoBlu Sarah's Choice stamps, with T.H. Distress ink Hickory smoke.  Stamped on white card stock and mounted on a baby pink card and grey card.
I taped the edge of the card with low tack tape to achieve the white border.  I loved working with these stamps and think I will have to go on to make another card!

Thank you for passing by and looking at my blog
